Eligibility and Request For Funding

Eligibility

Funding requests will be evaluated against the following criteria:

  • How it compliments Byron Smith Ford's interests and values and promotes goodwill and positive awareness of our company
  • The extent of  employee participation in the organization or program
  • The extent to which the organization serves a community in which Byron Smith Ford does business or in which employees live
  • The perceived need is compelling and does not duplicate existing services or facilities
  • The  number of individuals from the community  at large who will benefit from the   proposed project of program
  • The services or activities are provided without regard to race, religion, creed, or sex
  • The   soliciting organization is financially viable, efficiently and effectively managed, is a tax registered non-profit organization, and provides a list of executives and board of directors

We do not provide funding for:

  • Individuals, for-profit organizations or organizations without a tax-registered number or non-profit society number
  • Trips, tours, conferences, traveling expenses or initiatives which benefit only a few people
  • Advertising, film, video, television, or book promotions
  • Programs of religious nature
  • Political fundraisers 
  • Service clubs or fraternal organizations
  • Organizations operating expenses

Request For Funding Guidelines

NOTE: Requests for funding must be submitted in writing via Email, Fax, or Mail and contain the following:

  • Name, address, phone number, charitable registration number or appropriate charitable designation.
  • Organization profile and overview of the program including:

  1. Objectives
  2. Geographical target area served
  3. Target group of people who will benefit and how they will benefit
  4. How the project addresses needs that are not all ready being met by other programs or programs we already support
  5. How program results  are measured
  6. Amount of funding requested
  7. Names of Byron Smith Ford employees involved with the organization
  8. Details on how Byron Smith Ford's participation and or sponsorship will be profiled in the community or with the project
